Dubai’s restaurant scene is moving back into its cooler-season rhythm, with several familiar dining rooms reopening after summer breaks or returning with refreshed settings and new reasons to book. Four established addresses across the Marina, Palm Jumeirah and Jumeirah are now back on the city’s dinner calendar.

These are not new openings: they are well-known venues with updated seasonal experiences, menus or spaces. Here is a practical guide to four that are ready for a return visit.

Buddha-Bar: a theatrical return in Dubai Marina

Buddha-Bar at Grosvenor House Dubai has reopened with Red Tsuki, a red-moon-inspired chapter of its Sakura’s Secret dining experience. The concept brings live performers, visual moments and choreography into the evening, while the Pan-Asian menu continues to feature signatures such as lobster dumplings, sushi, sashimi and handmade dim sum.

The Dubai Marina institution has been part of the city’s dining scene since 2005. It is open Sunday to Thursday from 7pm to 1am, and Friday to Saturday from 7pm to 2am, making it a strong pick for a late dinner with an atmosphere-led finish.

For diners planning the first weeks of the season, the common thread is that each venue pairs an established identity with a more current reason to revisit—whether that is a redesigned room, a seasonal lunch service or a refreshed food and drinks offer.

Shimmers: beachside Greek dining returns

Shimmers is back on the sand at Jumeirah Mina Al Salam, with its views towards Burj Al Arab and a menu rooted in Greek and Aegean flavours. The return puts dishes such as lobster orzo, chicken souvlaki and the restaurant’s Shyros back in play, alongside an evening programme with a resident DJ, percussionist and saxophonist.

Dinner runs daily from 5pm to 1am. Lunch has also returned for the season, including the three-course Aegean Pause business lunch, so the venue works as easily for a daylight meal as it does for a long seaside evening.

Hakkasan: Michelin-starred Cantonese at Atlantis The Palm

Hakkasan has resumed service at Atlantis The Palm after its summer pause, with executive chef Andy Toh leading the Michelin-starred Cantonese kitchen. The returning menu brings back the restaurant’s dim sum, meat and seafood dishes, alongside an updated drinks list for the new season.

The restaurant is open Wednesday to Sunday from 6pm to 12.30am, with Mondays and Tuesdays closed. Its return adds a polished option for diners looking for a formal Palm Jumeirah dinner rather than a casual seasonal terrace.

Scalini: a refreshed Italian dining room in Jumeirah

Scalini Dubai has reopened at Restaurant Village, Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach, following a redesign that keeps its familiar blue-and-yellow identity while adding a brighter Mediterranean setting. The updated veranda introduces citrus trees, Sicilian-inspired tiles and a white pergola, giving the long-running Italian favourite a new backdrop for the season.

Executive chef Francesco Cortorillo’s refreshed menu includes Sicilian red prawn crudo, tableside beef tartare and linguine alla Nerano. Scalini is open from noon to 11pm Sunday to Thursday, extending to midnight on Friday and Saturday.

Before booking, check each venue’s own reservation channels for current availability, dress codes and any seasonal menu updates. The four returns show how Dubai’s established dining addresses are using the change of season to refresh—not simply resume—their guest experience.
